when i was crossing the border to Guatemala yesterday, i thought about all these little details we discovered in each country, some are intriguing, some are just unbelievable. so i decided to make a list of it.

argentina
Argentines drink mate (a tea-like hot drink made from the planet mate) at anytime, anywhere, any temperature, even if it's 40C outside. a typical scene is Argentina is that one has thermo in one hand and mate cup in another (and sweating like a pig :P).
mexico
you can't find shower gel in mexico (except for gringo-fied touristy spots like Cancun or playa del carmen)! but anywhere else throughout mexico, only thing we could find is soap.
there are speedbumps everywhere! i haven't seen this many speedbumps anywhere else. compared to guatemalan, mexicans are very gentle drivers.
guatemala
they are reckless drivers.
there are always long lines outside the bank during work day. Because people line up to cash their check. there is not much concept of checking account here. ATM is mainly for tourists and most stores will gladly accept your credit card for a service charge of 12%!! - NO, thanks!Belize
the telecom blocks usage of Skype!
English is the official language. i had no problem communicating with them and thought we spoke the same kind of English until i heard two Belizeans talking!
